OMG! Ponies! on Aug 11, 2008
Thanks for the back-up. Much obliged. Remind me again why people get all upset as to whether people are getting cell-phones repaired.

I found out that I can't respond to mine either if I make an error in a previous post. I didn't do anything, it may just be a random glitch that got me.

Of course! Here's a link to one of the earlier references to Frigg's Law on Gizmodo (I forget who made the reference, but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere on this page):

A cyclist actually just got killed here yesterday. Diagnosis: run over by a truck.

Hey, I read all the time how Lindsay and Carmen flaunt their figure(s) to tease guys. I thought, why can't I do the same thing. Unfortunately, except for Lindsay and Carmen, no other girls have commented on it.

I applied for the commenter screening position a few months ago, but never heard back :(

I prefer to think of you as an erudite commenter, who goes to work and pretends to be a 47 year old banker. But maybe I'm biased.

And, hey, did you get a star while I was offline? Whether or not it's new, congratulations on it, well-deserved!

Howdy, ps61318! Yeah, good to be returning the gizgroove, thanks for the welcome back. And, a shocking revelation (especially to me): Not only did I not gain weight during the film festival (and keep in mind that for ten days I'm essentially stranded in a theater with a concession offering nothing but popcorn and cookies), I actually managed to take off one additional pound--a far cry better than my usual "add five pounds" during a film fest.
I'll probably be back online with Giz more fully tomorrow. See you in the comments!

It would appear, from looking through the recent banhammer comment thread, that your point of view on the matter is in the minority. I just wanted to let you know that I'm with you. I'm really confused by all the people complaining about "off topic" posts. Are these the same people that felt compelled to remind the teacher to give us homework? That's not the goofy, anarchistic Gizmodo I grew up with and it sounds very dull.
Anyway, I thought you made a good, thorough point at the end of a long, tedious thread, which probably won't get seen by many people and this is me acknowledging it as such. So there.

You're joke about the 24" bar of butter ALSO being a 3 wick candle is classic. Cracked me up.

Thankfully the Steamers never moved to Cleveland; that would've been a disaster. ;-)
Sadly, I'm too young to remember the specifics of the rivalry; the Force were huge when I was like nine, and their main allure for me was Darth Vader being there. They ARE the last Cleveland team to win a championship, though, so I felt they needed some love.

I'll leave you a message because you never gimme a hard time :)

Howdy, ps61318! While you clock in as Gizminion...er...Friend #44 (having just barely missed being the magical #42), you can still catch the end of the parade going on over at Sam_Zebian's profile page. Thanks for your vote of confidence!
